Class and Birthday Assemblies
We are pleased that Classes 1 and 2 will be joining this term’s Key Stage 1 Class and Birthday Assemblies, which are listed below for your information. These will usually take place on Fridays at about 9:15 am in the Large Hall and you are most welcome to join us when your child’s class leads the assembly and shares their work. Please note that this term two class assemblies will be on Thursdays due to staffing and timetabling issues.
If your child has a birthday during the term, you will also be invited to come to the appropriate assembly, for which they will have helped to make the birthday cake. This will be on a Friday near to their birthday, but not necessarily the actual week in which it falls!
May I respectfully remind you that these assemblies are acts of worship and not “performances” as such; the children often have very small voices, particularly when they stand up and see how many people are looking at them! So could you please use your discretion when bringing younger brothers and sisters; they are very welcome, but do feel free to quietly slip out at the back if they become too restless and are likely to disturb either the children leading the assembly or those sharing in it.
